Furthermore, to create a sound, you still had to have a vast knowledge of synthesis. Not to mention, there were only monophonic synths, and this meant that you could only play one note at a time.īy the late 70s, the majority of synths had moved away from using patch cables, but they were covered with knobs, faders, and sliders.
